Under the auspices of the SickKids Foundation and the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto Drs. Myroslava Romach and Jim Rutka conducted the Fourth Medical mission visit to Ukraine as part of the hospital's successful Ukraine Paediatric Fellowship Program.
Dr. Rutka (Chairman, Department of Surgery University of Toronto) is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon. Dr. Romach has led and established this program and was instrumental in arranging a substantial bequest received by the Canadian Children Of Chornobyl Fund be assigned to Sick Kids Foundation to begin this Program.  Dr. Romach is on the Board of Directors of Children of Chornobyl Canadian Fund and is International Medical Liaison for this program as part of SickKids Centre for Global Child Health. A further group of physicians from Ukraine will be coming to Sick Kids in November 2015 and by the end of this year 15 observers will have participated in the program.
